Well, here is a great subject to cover. The best Glock sights. But not just Glock sights, Glock Night Sights. And not even Glock Night Sights set, Suppressor Sights for the Glock models.

So this looks like a deep well to jump into, so let us suit up and ho on in, shall we?

So why chose the Glock? Why would you not choose the Glock Gen 5? The Glock is the ultimate workhorse handgun. Now the factory Glock sights with the white front dot and the white outline rear sight have quite a bit of room for improvement. Those of us with aging eyeballs do work better than the old-school iron sights with nothing like dot sight systems to help out.

A bit on a handgun with suppressor sight on it is an excellent self-defense gun, but rough to conceal, and with the suppressor attached, it is nearly a rifle length or carbine at least. So, since this application of handgun is not going to be a hide-a-way gun, let me start with the Glock 17.

The Glock 17, with the lovely long and wide top, 5-inch barrel, just made to shoot the 9mm ammo like it was born there; it was born to the 9mm ammo. The Glock 19 came a bit later, a little more agile, and when you screw on the suppressor, still a bit more wieldy than the Glock 17, with the suppressor.

With this Glock platform to work with, getting an RMR style optic to co-witness with the tritium night sights will be relatively easy. Relatively as in, you will need to purchase a Glock Gen5 that is cut for the RMR mount plate or have your older Glock milled.

You can do that with a file, and you will be much more robust and develop patience like you will not believe, but a gunsmith with a milling machine is worth the money and time you will save.

If you do not want to go the optics route, there are plenty of excellent fiber optic and tritium lamp - night sight sets that are suppressor height for just such a setup. We will look at as many options as I can get my hands on to review and look back on some that have come through the shop to get their low light sights set up and high enough to look past the suppressor when it screws onto the end.

Since we talked so much about them, let us start with the fiber optic and tritium night sight sets, or better yet, the sight sets that have both options. How awesome can it get? Let us look.

I am going to look at these options in no particular order. The editing software may generate a list from top to bottom, but in this case, you can not compare a Trijicon RMR optic against the TruGlo fiber optic sights and have anything like a fair comparison, so please keep that in mind.

9 Best Glock Suppressor Sights

Open Iron Style Sight Sets

1. Ameriglo Tall Suppressor 3 Dot

glock 19 sights

How great is a world where we can get all this on Amazon and have it brought to us right to the front door in 2 days? The Ameriglo Suppressor Tall Sights are pitched like a pyramid to make the edges of the rear sight a bit less grabby when drawn from the holster, and the pitch will help guide our eyes to the best sight picture as well.

You will have your eyes drawn to the top and the rear sight green dots, then the follow-up shots will be easier, but with the suppressor on the end of the barrel, the muzzle flip is reduced quite a bit.

The Ameriglo sights will co-witness well with an RMR cut slide and properly fit RMR sight, like the Vortex we will discuss later. Just be careful, and look at all the model numbers and the fitment sizes listed by Ameriglo, and all will work out just fine.

Some people in my world do not have must love for Ameriglo due to quality control issues and their tritium lamps set into the rear sight. So, keep that in mind when you are shopping around on Amazon as well.

2. Trijicon Glock Suppressed Sight Set

glock 19 night sights

Maybe the best option of the open iron or iron sight sets or the night sight sets. Trijicon houses the Tritium in aluminum tubes, held in silicone to fight recoil. The Trijicon sight set also caps the Tritium with a sapphire to help intensify the sight picture for low light self-defense shooting.

The front sight and rear sight have an outer white dot, and the inner Tritium glows with a green dot when you are in low light. This sight protecting the tritium capsule with a silicone mounting may help you mount them at home without the sight tool or the sight pusher tool. Use a plastic or polymer punch, a very small hammer, hold off on the bourbon for a few minutes longer (I know, why bother), and then tap the new aftermarket wonders in place.

If you plan to co-witness this with the RMR or a red dot sight on the handgun slide, Trijicon made this set just for that purpose, and they still look over the suppressor. This setup will make a good self-defense set up for all comers or coyotes in the sheep, whichever comes first.

3. TruGlo TFX Tritium And Fiber Optic

best glock sights

I really like the design of the TruGlo TFX Tritium and Fiber Optic sight set. The Fiber Optics rods or capsules are captured, so they will not go anywhere and are protected from nearly everything. The rear sight is made to be a snag-free option, not a big high projecting blade, but a rounded chunk of steel. The front sight is excellent as well, the fiber optic capsule is captured as well, and it has a tritium ring for the night sights work.

When you look down this sight set, you see the green dots from the fiber optics, and in the dark, you will plainly see the white dot from the front sight. You may not get them to mount up with the RMR optic with this rear sight style. If you want a Glock 19 to carry a CCW style with sights in place for suppressor work, this may be the way to go.

With this offering from TruGlo, I have not heard as many quality complaints, probably stay put due to the captured design. That seems to be the main complaint with fiber optic sight sets; the fiber optic rods work loose and then fall out, only when you are not looking, of course.

4. XS Sight System DXT Big Dot

sights for glock 19

I think I may have been distracted by this strange sight profile and used the link for a different model gun, look carefully, and if it is wrong, just search for your weapon, and it will be there. This sight picture is weird, and I am old enough to get away with saying it is just strange. Note: I did not say wrong, just odd.

The front sight is a substantial white dot, and in the very center of the white dot, it is a green Tritium-green dot. The rearview has a concave "V" shape top and a tritium "post" that is the rear vector for the sighting. The only person I know who has shot this system thinks for a quick shot, which may be a great idea; however, the years of training, the standard notch, and post that most of us have used may get in our way.

The front sight may be a great idea to get this sight set and put it on a shotgun for trap shooting. That is a thing to think about for a while. This set is up to you, and if you go this route or know someone that has lots of time with this sight set, will you please leave a comment so we can all learn a bit more about them.

Red Dot sights And RMR Style Optics

5. Trijicon RMR

best glock sights for accuracy

For the ultimate hunter-killer pistol, here it is, the Trijicon RMR in all its glory. You will need to ensure the mounting plate you use will place this optic at the right height to look over the suppressor's top.

As most folks in the gun world know, Trijicon pretty much laid the groundwork for RMR style sights. This option has a crisp 3 ¼ MOA Red Dot reticle, uses a typical CR2032 battery, and the optic even comes with the auto-brightness reticle, so it is always ready no matter what you are doing.

Now for my take on why this incredible offering is the wrong choice for a suppressed Glock, even the Glock 17 sized polymer frame wonder gun. The Trijicon is just too freaking big. This optic is more along with the hunter-killer AR platform gun, not really at home on the Glock.

I know some of everyone will butcher me in the comments; that's ok. It works the search engines better, so please have at it. Also, for this optic to co-witness the iron sights, you will need high suppressor sight, like the stuff we spoke about just before this section.

6. Sig Romeo Zero

best night sights for glock

Sig Sauer is not my favorite gun maker, no real reason, just not my favorite. BUT, the Sig Romeo Zero on an RMR base sitting on top of a whoop-ass modified Glock 17, come on!

The Romeo is designed to fit with thin slides and is made from space-age materials. The Sig Sauer Romeo Zero is made from polymer for the body and the lens. Go ahead, say it…

Yes, a polymer body is weak and will twist, and along with that, a plastic (actually polymer as well) lens will scratch and look blurry, etc. That is not the truth, my friends. The Polymer body is stippled to match the Sig P365, which works pretty flawlessly with the Glock Gen 5 and older Glock models.

The lens in polymer, what do you think, weak. That is where this unit really shines bright, and the polymer is 10x the impact strength of aluminum bodies and glass lenses. What are we talking about with a Glock wearing a suppressor and all the super cool night sights, toughness, and reliability to its extremes? And this RMR sight is the one.

Just to make it extra fluffy and hard to resist, the reticle is an eight-level brightness Red Dot, motion-activated, or "shake awake." Just set the brightness for your most anticipated bad day episode, and when you pull it from its resting place, the reticle turns on, and you are ready to get to work.

7. Holosun Elite Micro

best night sights

This beastie comes with my favorite reticle, a true Reflex Sight Reticle, a 2MOA dot inside a 65MOA ring, illuminated, of course. This offering is definitely suppressor height sights category, but, more the flavor or an SBR, looking under the mount for the factory sights or maybe a brush gun, and that is due to two things: first, it is a high mounting unit, and second, it has a solar panel – yeah, that is what I said, solar panel.

Holosun has really stepped up their game in this part of the optics world, kind of a new player to the handgun sights market, and they are not letting any grass grow under their feet, that is for sure.

The solar panel will charge a battery if the sight is left off for a long time, as you would expect. The sight will also run off the solar panel and save the battery. That sounds amazing. However, it is an illuminated reticle, and that may be a challenge to use in bright sunshine.

Speaking of the reticle, this reticle is my favorite shooting style while moving and all that style of gun work. It is the green dot inside the green circle, and all of that is adjustable brightness. The Holosun Elite Micro is built more like a red dot scope or sight of old, more tube and less open view.

The Holosun elite base is a high "see through" style base to use the iron sights if the red dot or green dot scope fails. So as you can see, this optic is more for the top of a shoulder-fired gun, and the base mounts to a Picatinny rail, not an RMR base. With all of that said, this sight will undoubtedly look over the top of any suppressor you screw on the Glock.

Back to the solar panel for a second, if the gun you mount his on will see lots of sunshine, it will be a great field gun for, say, a crossbow for those thinking ahead. But, a pistol that is holstered and out of the sun, that option is just a waste. Waste or not, a solar-powered optic is - flat-out cool no matter what anyone says.

8. Vortex Viper Red Dot Sight

night sights for glock 19

This red dot sight is actually a reflex style, wide-open sight picture, easy to get on target, with a 6MOA red dot reticle. The RMR base sits super low on guns with a milled slide and comes from the factory with a base plate that will fit on a Weaver or Picatinny rail.

The Vortex Viper is all about its super durability, looking and fitting like it was born there, and with its Armertek Coating protecting the body and the lens, how can you go wrong? The lens is fully multi-coated for excellent light transfer to your eyeballs.

The Vortex Viper Red Dot sits so low that it will work to co witness with your stock iron sights or some nifty night sights. And with the correct mounting plate and some high set suppressor sights on the top of your Glock 19, this will work just fine for any combination you put your Gen 5 Glock into.

The Vortex Viper Red Dot sight is fully adjustable, both windage and elevation, and the Viper has a set screw to keep those adjustments right on the money no matter what happens. In this mounting style, you will not need a sight tool more custom than a screwdriver and some of the blue thread locker, and you are in business.

9. Burris Fastfire III

best night sight

Burris is never one to be left behind in the field of optics, and the RMR style sight is one they really bring the "A" game too. As everyone who knows the firearms optics world, the Burris Forever Warranty is just the top of the stack compared to the rest.

The reticle on the Burris FastFire III has a light brightness sensor, so the red dot reticle will be precisely what you need when presented. You can spend the precious fractions of a second getting a great sight picture, not worrying about the brightness settings.

The reticle is fully adjustable windage and elevation, and the battery is accessible from the top. This optic will transform your Glock pistols into much more, they will take on a new life. The reticle ordered in either a 3MOA or the *MOA, depending on if you want to bullseye shoot or fast shoot. That is your choice; think about it carefully.

The Fastfire II comes with a Picatinny rail mount and has no tools adjustments for its turrets. When I look at this little beast of s sight, it seems like the no-tools adjustment is more like a coin adjustment, ah marketing.

Summary

What do you think? From the stock sights or iron sight style that tries to look over the top of the supporessor, we have looked at many options and the high sight sets for looking absolutely over the suppressor.

The RMR style green dot or red dot reticle sighs that come with, or you can order the correct mounting plate to get the best sight picture you can get even in the dark. Well, you will see the sights in the dark, night sight sets, or illuminated red dot, not the target, that may take a flashlight or other light source.

Remember, if you mount a light on the pistol, and the Glock 17 has plenty of space on the lower rail to put some great lights there, the fiber optic sight sets will gather that same light and light up the target. And you can increase the space by doing Glock 17 trigger upgrade. Hence, your sight picture is much cleaner, and that eliminates you from basically shooting into the dark.

One sighting option I did not cover is a laser sight that can be activated when the gun is drawn, and there is a manufacturer that even makes one that replaces the Glock recoil guide rod; that is awesome. That option has a very short battery life and low power, but it fits in a stock-fitting Glock holster, so that again is more to think about for the future.

Good Shooting!
